By plane

 

The International Airport of Corfu, Ioannis Kapodistrias, is located 3 kilometers south of the centre of the island, in the region Kanoni.

 

Nowadays most visitors seem to come to Corfu directly by plane, especially by charter. Charter flights from Europe are quite numerous from mid March until the end of October. Airlines services operate to and from Corfu with most major European cities

If there is no charter flight from the city you start your trip or you are travelling outside the season you will have to fly to Athens International Airport first and then continue with the local airlines Olympic Air or Aegean Airlines.

 

From  Athens there are scheduled flights to Corfu several times a day. The trip takes less than an hour and the earlier you book the less the ticket will cost.The prices start at 50 €.

There are also directly domestic flights from Thessaloniki City (Salonica) during the summer.
