Corfu in spring at its best

When to come to Corfu

The Corfu climate is warm Mediterranean. The summer here is warm and relatively dry with a blue sky, often cooled by seasonal breezes, and rarely is it interrupted by rains. The mountainous areas are cooler. The winter here is mild. Rainfall occurs mainly from November until March. On average, there are 3000 hours of sun per year with an average daily sunshine duration of 8,5 hours.

Despite popular belief, Corfu is not always sunny! There is more rainfall here than on the Greek mainland and the wet season extends for a longer period, which is why the island is so green. Winters can be wet, but sunny, warm weather lasts from April to October.

Before rushing out and booking your flights, you need to consider what it is that you will be expecting from your visit, to determine the best time period for you.

The tourist season in Corfu lasts between April and October. July and August are the hottest months with the most sunshine, but these are also the busiest and most expensive times to go.

Crowds at popular beaches and attractions can feel overwhelming during these months. Additionally, you may find that exploring historic sites and hiking trails is more challenging due to the heat.

April - May and September - October are the best months to visit Corfu, with fewer crowds and lower prices. The weather is a little more unpredictable, with a possibility of cloudy days and some rain.
